Radio Work

Following radio work in college and a lifetime making mixtapes, I became involved with the start-up stage of what would become a banner NPR station in Sitka, Alaska: KCAW/Raven Radio.
Decades later, I was named to the planning committee for WGXC-FM in Hudson, NY, eventually becoming the station's first News Director before settling into a position on the entity's governance board, and producing morning news segments, a weekly show on Work, and other interview shows over a period of several years.
Most recently, I was on the governance board for Grand Arts and its low-power station in Albany, NY - WCAA - for whom I served as Program Director as the station built its presence, teaching would-be radio producers how to work with their smartphones and Audacity mechanisms to produce what became a roster of three dozen original shows, all available to other Pacifica Radio Network stations throughout the U.S. One of those programs, My Romance: Reading Don Quixote in English, is still playing on stations to this date.
